These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Skill Trust India ("Skill Trust India," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of skilltrustindia.com, our mobile experiences, certification programs, blockchain-verified credentialing, online assessments, employer verification tools, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By creating an account, enrolling in a program, purchasing a certification, taking an assessment, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

Some certifications may have additional eligibility requirements — such as educational prerequisites, professional experience, or employer sponsorship — which will be disclosed at enrollment. You are responsible for confirming that you meet all stated requirements before registering.

2. Account registration and security

To access certain features, you must create an account with accurate, complete, and current information. Your name may appear on issued certificates exactly as entered during registration.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised access to your account.
• You may not share your account, sell access, or allow others to take assessments on your behalf.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or violate these Terms.

3. Our services

Skill Trust India provides an online platform for industry-aligned certification programs, skills assessments, credential issuance, and verification. Programs may be co-authored or co-signed by partner hospitals, universities, and enterprises ("Partner Institutions").

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. Where changes materially affect an active enrollment, we will provide reasonable notice when practicable.

4. Enrollment and certification programs

When you enroll in a certification program, you agree to the program-specific requirements, curriculum schedule, assessment rules, and any additional terms presented at checkout or enrollment.

• Enrollment grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access program materials for the stated duration.
• Certification is awarded only upon successful completion of required assessments and any other stated criteria.
• We do not guarantee employment, salary increases, or admission to any institution as a result of earning a credential.
• Partner Institutions may impose supplementary rules for sponsored or co-branded programs.

5. Assessments and exam integrity

Assessments are designed to evaluate your skills fairly and accurately. To protect the integrity of credentials issued through Skill Trust India, you agree to the following:

• Complete all assessments independently unless open-book or collaborative formats are explicitly permitted.
• Not use unauthorised materials, third-party assistance, impersonation, or automated tools during proctored exams.
• Not reproduce, distribute, or publish exam content without our written consent.
• Comply with identity verification and proctoring requirements where applicable.
• Accept that we may use session monitoring, audit logs, and integrity analytics to detect misconduct.

Violations may result in voided results, revoked credentials, permanent account suspension, and reporting to Partner Institutions or relevant authorities where required by law or contract.

6. Credentials and verification

Upon successful completion, Skill Trust India may issue digital certificates and blockchain-verified credentials that include your name, certification title, issue date, and a unique verification identifier.

• Credentials remain our intellectual property; you receive a licence to display and share them for professional purposes.
• You may not alter, forge, or misrepresent any credential or verification record.
• Employers and third parties may verify credentials through our public verification tools using limited metadata.
• We may revoke or suspend credentials if fraud, misconduct, or eligibility errors are discovered, with notice where appropriate.

7. Fees, payments, and refunds

Fees for certifications, exam attempts, and related services are displayed before purchase. By completing a transaction, you authorise us and our payment partners to charge the stated amount using your selected payment method.

• All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated.
• Applicable taxes, processing fees, or currency conversion costs may apply.
• Refund eligibility depends on the program's refund policy disclosed at purchase. Exam attempts consumed or credentials already issued are generally non-refundable.
• We may offer vouchers, scholarships, or employer-sponsored access subject to separate terms.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
• Interfere with platform security, scrape content at scale, or attempt unauthorised access to systems or data.
• Upload malware, spam, or content that infringes third-party rights.
• Harass other users, instructors, or support staff.
• Misuse verification tools to impersonate others or create false employment records.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the Services — including curricula, assessments, videos, logos, trademarks, software, and credential designs — is owned by Skill Trust India or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content except as expressly permitted for personal study within an active enrollment. Partner Institution co-branded materials may be subject to additional restrictions.

10. Partner and enterprise programs

If your enrollment is sponsored by a Partner Institution or employer, additional terms may apply between you and that organisation. Skill Trust India facilitates delivery of assessments and credentials but is not responsible for employment decisions, internal HR policies, or outcomes beyond credential issuance and verification.

11. Third-party services

The Services may integrate with third-party tools — such as payment gateways, OAuth login providers, proctoring platforms, or analytics services. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not liable for third-party products or services we do not control.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that certifications will be recognised by every employer or institution. Industry recognition depends on market adoption, partner relationships, and factors outside our control.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SKILL TRUST INDIA AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) INR 5,000, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Skill Trust India and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Services, exam misconduct, or infringement of third-party rights.

15. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in exam fraud, or if required by law.

Upon termination, your right to access program materials ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute resolution — will remain in effect. Issued credentials may be revoked if termination results from misconduct.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to mandatory consumer protection laws, courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Services.

Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at legal@skilltrustindia.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within thirty (30) days.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you must stop using the Services.
